Why Today With God?

You might be wondering, how did Today with God (TWG) come about.  To answer that question is to tell you a part of my story.

In 1998 my wife and I were helping setup a small church in Sydney and the pastor gave me a book saying that I would understand it.  The book was called the Twilight Labrinth by George Ottis Jnr.  At the time I was working in a “call centre” in the centre of Sydney doing the afternoon evening shift and reading this book as I travelled to and from on the train.  One night, I was coming home and was overcome with sadness.  As I waited at the station for my wife to pick me up, the tears started running down my face and I heard the words They did not have to die, they didn’t understand prayer.

I took this message to Brian Pickering, the National Coordinator of the Australian Prayer Network and for the past 23 years my wife and I have walked with the Australian Prayer Network. Over this time, I have acted as Website and Media Manager and Administering the National Day of Thanks started filming the Watchmen Schools of Intercession that started in 2015.  As we have travelled with the APN, I have seen the desperate need for Prayer and how so many do not understand what prayer is all about.

The courses we have developed for TWG is to share some of that vital understanding about these important areas of Christian life.  As we travelled through the recent pandemic it was clear that we need to do things differently.  God spoke to me over a year ago and said the way you have done things is not how you are to do things in the future.  In response, I felt God pressing on me to develop these online courses.

As I developed these courses, I asked God what do we charge for the courses and He answered almost audibly, I have freely given these things to my people, but they were stolen from them.  Do not charge My People to get them back. I am your provision.

This is how God set me on a path of developing these online courses so that the many, wherever they are in the world, can be blessed by these lessons learned and shared.  Learning how to walk with Jesus as one of His disciples.  Disciples who make disciples.  Followers of the Way who have a personal relationship with Jesus.  A relationship that was stolen in the garden of Eden and redeemed on the cross.

I hope you are richly blessed by studying this material.
